John Haffer, 90, passed away Wednesday February 24, 2010 at his home. Born in College Point, NY, he has resided in Piscataway for most of his life.
John was an electrician who could fix anything given to him and was an avid wood worker. He also worked as a movie projector controller in the Dunellen Theater as well as in the Manville and Bound Brook theaters. He loved Disney World and said it was his favorite place on earth.
Mr. Haffer is predeceased by his parents, William and Mary Haffer and by his sister Anna Hafer. Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Mrs. Margaret Haffer; his dear daughter Linda Jakubowksi along with her husband Joe of Piscataway; his sister Mary Olsen of East Brunswick; his granddaughters, MaryBeth Jakubowki and JoAnne Jakubowki and many nieces and nephews.
