Lorraine J. Centino, 50, passed away March 3, 2010 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Philadelphia, PA with her loving family by her side. Born in Trenton, she grew up there until moving to Manville and then settled in Piscataway in 1985.

Lorraine was employed with UPS in Bridgewater. She loved gardening and decorating her home, but being a mom was her most cherished role.

Lorraine was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Sidney and Edna Spurdens and by her mother-in-law Lucy Centino. Surviving are her loving husband of 30 years, Salvatore Centino; her sons, Salvatore Centino and Samuel Centino, all of Piscataway; her mother Joan Gargus Lackie of Mercerville; her father George Gargus of Gettysburg; her sisters Karen Turgyan and her husband Joseph of Mercerville and Linda Calehuff and her husband Robert of Mercerville; her brother Steven Gargus and his wife Valarie of Mt. Laurel; her father-in-law Salvatore Centino of Manville; her sister-in-law Deborah Scavuzzo of Manville; her nieces and nephews, Jill Wolak, Joseph Turgyan, Robert Calehuff, Lindsay Calehuff, Christine Gargus and Rachel Yanvary; her great nieces Adeline, Isabella and Sadie; and her dear friends, Ed and Teresa Carr.

In lieu of flowers, Lorraine's family asks that memorial contributions be made in honor of her to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 2141 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245 or www.pancan.org.
